At Japan Impact Institute, Risa works on partnership-related initiatives with AVPN members as its Northeast Asia Manager. Since her student days, she has been interested in North-South disparities and climate change. After working for private companies in Japan, she obtained a Master's degree in Development Studies from the Geneva Graduate Institute in Switzerland. Risa joined AVPN in 2021 and worked for the Japan market before transferring to the Partnerships team at the Singapore headquarters. After working on fundraising from foundations and private companies around the world, she returned to work for the Japan market from June 2025.
