Announcing the Launch of Japan Impact Institute (JII): Empowering the "Impact Loop"

In December 2025, the Social Impact Center of the Japan Fundraising Association officially entered a new chapter as the Japan Impact Institute (JII).

Building on a decade of leadership within the Japan Fundraising Association, the Social Impact Center has been at the forefront of Japan’s impact movement. Our journey has been defined by a commitment to creating, visualizing, and scaling social impact—from pioneering Social Impact Bonds and Outcome Funds to strengthening standards and systems for impact management.

We have seen firsthand that powerful learning happens every day on the front lines. However, without a way to connect these “scattered dots” of knowledge to the right capital, the full potential of social impact remains untapped.

JII aims to address this challenge by creating a vital connection and flow between practice and resources. By capturing, structuring, and sharing insights from the front lines, this catalyzes new funders’ intentions and directs capital toward impact. This “Impact Loop” is designed to expand impact capital and accelerate social innovation.

Looking beyond Japan, JII also positions itself as a strategic hub for global partners—linking knowledge and capital between Japan and the wider world, and amplifying Japan’s impact on the international stage. As this next chapter begins, JII invites practitioners, funders, and visionaries to connect and collaborate in building the Impact Loop together.
